2009 Recertification Ongoing
If you still haven't recertified for 2009 make sure you keep an eye on the website.  Remember: you must certify each year or you won't be able to do games.

Send us your pictures!
Have you traveled to an out of state tournament lately?  We are trying to geotag photos of NM Referees in various locations to map where our referees have been.  Send the pictures my way and let me know where they were taken.

Week in Review
These important articles from US Soccer are a great way to be on the top of your game.

If you want to take your refereeing to the next level and travel, go to Regional Tournaments or upgrade you have to become a student of the game.  US Soccer has been producing Week in Review articles for a while now that give insight to new techniques and training material designed around real events.  WIR is an essential tool that, when applied properly, will make you a better referee.

Week 35 was a particularly good article highlighting offside, handling and 100% Misconduct.  The latter subject is part of the "Referee Best Practices" presentation created by US Soccer.  Read the full article on WIR Week 35 here or catch up on old WIR articles at US Soccer.

Training & Development
Update: First session scheduled

February 20-22 2009

Mark your calendars!  Building upon the last Training Session in November the SRC will again be hosting this specialized event.  There are great opportunities to be mentored, learn new methods and network with your fellow referees.  Please email Kris with your intentions to attend.  We need participants ("new" and young referees) as well as experienced referees who can assist with mentoring.

If you expressed your interest last time around but were unable to make it or were not selected please apply again!
